ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY (AT):
CRIL staff has the expertise to recommend the most current technological devices, equipment, and resources to accommodate a wide spectrum of disabilities. CRIL staff provide a base home modification assessment that can identify your independent living needs and provide resource coordination for home modification. CRIL’s AT Specialist also offers technical advice to businesses and community-based organizations so that they may become more inclusive.
Home Modification Assessment
- What is a Home Modification Assessment?
- Comfort and a sense of belonging are important characteristics of what we call “home”. After dealing with access challenges in your community, your home is the last place you want to experience barriers to your independence. An Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist at CRIL can come and assess your home to increase its maximum livability. Our AT Specialist has the resources and experience to recommend current technology and architectural solutions available to modify your home.
Assistive Technology Equipment Loan Program
- What is Assistive Technology Equipment Loan Program?
- A Device Loan Program designed to enhance the quality of live for Californians with disabilities by providing them with Assistive technology (AT) devices and by innovating the loan process.
California statewide AT program provides short-term loans of AT devices to californian individuals or entities. The purpose of the loan may be to assist in the decision making, to serve as a loaner while the consumer is waiting for device repair or funding, to provide an accommodation on a short-term basis or for other purposes.
