Funding Resources for Assistive Technology
Assistive Technology can be paid for by

- California Children’s Services
- Your Employer
- California State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation
- Social Security Work Incentives
- Special Education
- Medi-Cal
- Medicare
- the Veteran’s Administration
In addition, the State of California offers an Assistive Technology Loan Guarantee Program to purchase AT devices. This program provides loans at moderate interest rates to individuals with disabilities and parents or guardians to purchase assistive devices and aids. This program offers loans up to a maximum of $20,000.

You have a right to the Assistive Technology you need. Please read the TECHNOLOGY-RELATED ASSISTANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES ACT OF 1988 AS AMENDED IN 1994.
Funding available for your personal Assistive Technology varies on what you need. CRIL works in partnership with consumers to identify the equipment and/or devices they need, the potential AT funding resources, and teaches consumers the skills to acquire funding. CRIL can assist consumers in filling out applications, talking with businesses who want to sponsor an AT donation, or learning how to approach community organizations to request funding.
